(First of all, sorry for the lack up updates during the past two weeks. I’ll try to update more often from now on).
Anyway, in his latest official chat Dustin confirmed that he is attacched to a new project called “Gunless”, currently filming in BC. Here are some articles about it:
[...] His new movie Gunless, in which he plays an earnest young Mountie in 1880s B.C. opposite Paul Gross as an American gunslinger, wraps at the end of June and is set for a spring 2010 release. [...]
[...] When notorious American gunslinger, The Montana Kid, staggers into the tiny Canadian hamlet of Barclay’s Brush, life for the town’s 17 inhabitants is about to get exciting. The Kid immediately gets into an unfortunate altercation with Jack, the town’s surly blacksmith, which leads to the The Kid ‘calling him out’ for some good old frontier justice - a showdown. But in a place totally ill prepared to deal with a classic gun fight and without a single working pistol to be found, adhering to the code of the American Wild West may prove difficult. Not able to let go of the ‘code’, The Kid remains stuck in Barclay’s Brush, getting drawn into a strange world of eccentric rituals and characters; among them Jane, a smart sassy woman who becomes his only hope of finding a way out… or perhaps his only reason for staying…
[...] The cast of Gunless also includes Dustin Milligan as Corporal Jonathan Kent [...]

Dustin was unfortunately just in the last 15 seconds of last night’s episode of “90210″, therefore not many new captures were added to the gallery. One new promotional artwork of Ethan kissing Silver has also been added.

In a recent interview with Zap2It, Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, “90210″ new boss, commented about the dismissal of Dustin:
Fans were shocked when news broke that Dustin Milligan (Ethan) won’t be returning next year. Can you talk about the reasons behind cutting Ethan?
R: I honestly think Dustin is such a good actor and such a lovely person. He is incredibly smart and perceptive and I loved working with him. At the end of the year [when I joined the show], I was really encouraging a dialogue between the writers and the actors and he was somebody who took me up on that. He was so thoughtful and careful about his ideas, and I was really impressed. So in my mind, it wasn’t about not liking Dustin, but [about] the character of Ethan. I felt [Ethan] didn’t allow me the freedom that I wanted. I really wanted a range between the characters and I didn’t feel like I could do with that character what I wanted to do with one of my core people. I think Dustin is amazing and he’ll do great. I was very honored to work with him, but he won’t be back.
She also pretty much confirmed that Dustin won’t be back to wrap Ethan’s storyline:
Will Dustin ever show up in a season 2 episode to wrap up his storyline?
R: I’m not absolutely sure, but I don’t think so.

“Extract”, Mike Judge’s upcoming movie also starring Dustin, just got itself a trailer and an official website; leading me to believe that a theatrical release is in the works. Dustin, unfortunately, is in none of them but fear not, as I just got myself a copy of the script (or at least a March 2008 draft of it) and can confirm that Dustin is seen (or heard) in about 15 out of the 105 pages, and that his role is one of the funniest he has played so far.
Stop reading now if you don’t want to be spoiled.
Dustin’s character, Brad, first appears on page 36 and is introduced with the apposition “the gigolo”, he is then quickly described as “young, blond, super good-looking, but clearly a complete airhead” and his only mission is, quoting Joel’s words, to “come to my house pretending to be the new pool cleaner,[...] and simply try to seduce my wife”. He later reappears in a hilarious flashback that “plays out like a bad soft-porn flick on Cinemax” in which Brad tries to seduce Suzie, Joel’s wife, asking her for some sunscreen. He later reappears in some briefs scenes and telephone voice-overs (when two characters are on the phone and one, Dustin’s in this case, is not shown, but just heard), but I won’t go into details to avoid revealing too much of the plot. All that I’m saying is that the script is very well done, and although Dustin’s character has quite a small role, he is incredibly funny (dumb characters always are!) and I can’t wait to see Dustin playing an airhead “professional” gigolo.
He shares scenes with Jason Bateman (Joel, who hires him) and Ben Affleck (whom he already worked with in the 2006 comedy “Man About Town”; who now plays Dean, Joel’s best friend, ) and Kristen Wiig (Suzie, Joel’s wife).
